Over the last few years, Simon has reserved a selection of rather special wines, ready for a connoisseur’s appreciative palate. He’s decided to remove these from the cellar for New Year’s Eve and offer a select list on the evening: it will be the perfect opportunity to enjoy a range of spectacular wines to accompany the evening’s food and fireworks.
Related to this, we’re particularly pleased to be able to offer limited stock of the stunning Conde de Valdemar Gran Reserva 1982, held back from the winery’s own museum stock. It’s an incredibly well-structured, elegant and full-bodied red: hints of spiced notes and gloriously mixed fruit tones pair perfectly, providing a wonderfully well-balanced long finish. Mature and ready to enjoy for a special occasion, or to hold for the future, this isn’t a typical Rioja but is something unique to experience and savour from this excellent Chilean winery.
